The meaning of life constitutes a philosophical question concerning the purpose or significance of life in general. Many people may ask Why are we here? or What exactly is this all about? The idea of why we are here and the meaning of life has been the subject of much religious, philosophical, and ideological debate throughout history. So what is the meaning of life? To put it simply, there is no real definitive answer. Where would the fun be in that? To find the meaning of life, you must first give your life meaning.
So where do we start? Well lets start with the definition of life: the condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic organisms and dead organisms; animation; liveliness; spirit. Or in short, the definition of life is to live. Give your life a purpose, do something with it. Do more than the same routine everyday, make something of your life. It doesn’t have to be a big something, just something. Life is made up of small moments with friends and family, make the most of them, and cherish every one. Do more than simply exist, make the most of every moment, don’t let any of them pass you by.
As the musician Greg Anderson put it:
When we are motivated by goals that have deep meaning, by dreams that need completion, by pure love that needs expressing — then we truly live life.
